Join MECCA

Eligible New York City Department of Correction uniformed and non-uniformed employees and retirees may apply for membership by selecting the appropriate membership category and submitting an official MECCA membership application. Membership applications are accepted year-round. Eligibility requirements and membership categories are governed by MECCA’s By-Laws.

Membership Criteria

A. General Membership:  Muslim Members General membership consists of Muslim uniformed and nonuniformed employees of NYCDOC who wish to support MECCA’s mission and goals, either through an annual contribution or a one-time payment for lifetime membership.

B. Associate Membership: Supporters Associate membership consist of uniformed and non-uniformed employees of NYCDOC who are not of the Islamic faith but wish to support MECCA’s mission and goals either through an annual contribution or a one-time payment for lifetime membership.
